Take a musical journey through time and space with The Story Orchestra: The Planets: Musical Puzzle, an interactive adventure that turns Holst's famous score into a creative hands-on experience for your little reader.

Children begin their journey by jumping straight into the opening scene, where two siblings launch into space and travel from planet to planet. As they explore Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus, they press special shaped puzzle pieces to hear real orchestral music from Holst's score. Each sound clip brings the story to life, from bold, thundering drums to delicate, sparkling strings.

Once the 48-piece puzzle is complete, children can flip the double-sided poster to reveal the final part of the journey, along with fascinating facts about the composer and his interstellar masterpiece. With its mix of music, puzzles and storytelling, this is a joyful way to inspire curiosity and creativity.

This musical jigsaw puzzle is the perfect gift to introduce children to classical music.

About the Author

Jessica Courtney-Tickle is an illustrator who graduated from Kingston University in July 2014. Her absolute favourite thing to draw or paint is nature, finding a focus on foliage of any kind as well as children's stories about adventure and exploration. She also has a penchant for drawing theatre from music makers to dancers and even singing animals. Jessica is most influenced by vintage picture books, travel posters and folk art as well as numerous painters and printmakers.
